'Actress, spoken word artist and singer Lotte Rice has a luminescence about her that enhances her stage presence and makes her solo performance in Exactly Like You wholly engaging. Adopting a highly poetic prose style, Rice's text is full of alliteration and internal rhyming. With the apparent precision of a Sondheim, she creates phrases that express more than the sum of their parts.' - Sandra Giorgetti: The British Theatre Guide
'Writer-performer Lotte Rice is a masterful spoken word artist who delivers a captivating performance as Abbie...The show is laced with wry observational humour, and Rice’s lyrical prowess only just tops her spine-tingling bursts of some of Simone’s best-known songs.' Sarah Richardson: Arts Press
'As well as being a superb wordsmith, Rice is athletic, balletic and full of boundless kinetic energy – and she can sing too... Exactly Like You is a triumph in both the writing and the performance and Rice carries off them equally with great aplomb. It’s a real tour de force and deserves to sell-out every performance' Alan Fritter: London Theatre.
